Each session consists of various field trips, special events, and over 50 camper selected summer camp activities. With proper guidance from our staff, every camper has the opportunity to enjoy an abundance of activities in the areas of aquatics, athletics, outdoor adventure & the arts. Every 3 days (6 periods per day) each camper selects his/her activities (each activity is 1 hour long). At the end of the 3 days, a camper may select new activities, or elect to continue with some.

Campers 5 – 16 years of age may participate in any of our off-campus field trips as well. These trips include: horseback riding, white water rafting, climbing/bouldering expeditions, and our all-camp trips. Additionally, each week we offer our exciting camp-wide special events and Color War. Blue Ridge Camp also offers private instructions in all sports, theatre arts and waterfront as well.

At Camp Blue Ridge every evening is filled with laughter and cheer as our special events get underway.  Our Evening/Special Events Activities Director works hard to plan and organize these special activities for our campers and their bunkmates to enjoy.  Some activities are all camp events, and at times they are organized by age groups so that we can hand tailor them to the specific interests and age of our campers.  Evening/Special Events activities are a team effort in coordination with our amazing camp staff, allowing our team of counselors to showcase their talents, show off their inner camper and encourage their bunk to fully embrace these fun and wacky activities! One thing is for sure, when the sun goes down the fun continues at CBR! We also offer horseback riding and whitewater rafting trips at Blue Ridge Camp. #CBRforever
